Impress has significant experience of operating Advanced Apprenticeship frameworks with a number of local training providers. Some apprentices are employed from day 1, receiving a wage, others receive a bursary allowance and may qualify for help with travel costs too. Trainees work towards an NVQ3 qualification with functional and wider key skills. The majority of Impress' associated companies promote these Apprenticeship frameworks: -

Engineering Construction Industry Training Board - ECITB (Adv. Apprenticeship & TECskills).

Science, Engineering & Manufacturing Technologies Alliance - SEMTA (PEO + VRQ).

The scope of these frameworks covers a range of occupational sectors in the engineering, engineering maintenance and engineering construction industries. Each sponsoring employer selects programmes relevant to their business. Training grants are claimed by the selected training provider to contribute to the employers' overall training costs. The employer pays apprentice wages and other employment costs or contributes to a bursary allowance. Additional grants may be awarded to employers for employed trainees achieving a full Apprenticeship qualification, which comprises of a NVQ3 in the chosen discipline, relevant Functional Skills & a Technical Certificate. Impress provides technical advice, and administrative support if requested, to all employers wishing to participate in the Apprenticeship programmes.
